Description

Our Timber Reflective Verge Protectors are designed to prevent people from parking on lawns and verges, along with easily identifying your property in the dark. Many typical uses include to mark driveways, roads, walkways, and paths. This hand-made in the UK product is designed to complement and blend into any natural setting. Timber verge protectors are practical, economical and are built to last incorporating design functionality and quality. These products are designed to be visible both day and night.

Please note: These are natural pressure treated soft wood timber product – knots – splitting – surface cracks – variations in colour are normal and to be expected.

Easy to install in minutes – push down by hand or tap gently into ground. These products are easy to remove to mow grass or re-position as needed.

Specification

2 lengths are available – Standard length overall product length is approximately 105cm and when installed the recommended length above ground is approximately 90cm. The overall compact length is approximately 60cm with recommended approximately 45cm above ground when installed.

These products are manufactured using pressure treated soft wood timber, fibreglass rod, plastic, 2 E approved reflectors (1 red – 1 silver) and exterior grade metal fixings.

The top of the post is a chamfered pyramid top profile, topped off with a mild steel round cap to aid installation.

Installation

Push by hand or gently tap on mild steel top cap, into ground to base of timber post*. A spirit level can be used to ensure post is upright if required. These products are easy to remove to mow grass or re-position as needed.

Maintenance

These are a natural pressure treated timber product. We recommend treatment with suitable exterior grade wood treatment every 2 years or as per wood treatment manufacturers recommendation. Please pay particular attention for complete coverage when treating underside of timber post to protect base of timber post.

Warranty

Our products come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturers defects. Please note that we design and build all our products to a high specification. We anticipate that all our products will perform for many years of service. We ask that when time eventually catches up and these products are worn out that you please recycle – these products are recyclable.

Safety note

Customer is responsible to ensure that no underground structure, piping, or electric cables can be damaged by installation.
If fibreglass base rod hits rock or solid object during installation do not force as this can cause damage to fibreglass rod and void your warranty. Simply move the post and try again.
We recommend the use of gloves when handling and installing fibreglass/timber verge protectors. We recommend the use of safety glasses if taping post into ground.
